I wrote a new album (well, an EP, really) earlier this month, my first since Tensor Tympani in late 2012. I feel good about having proper music production tools now, and I am in awe of what can be done with Logic Pro X. It’s called “I’m Having a Great Deal of Difficulty Processing the Cruelties of our History” and the name of the project is Holistic Wellness. It’s definitely one of my favorite releases I’ve ever made.

I won’t say too much about it right now and let you decide that for yourself, besides it’s definitely a departure from _11:34 but not too much of one. I’ve adjusted the melody vs. repetition equation dial way off to one side (that way, it’s also perfectly amenable to live performance with a loop station). I felt it merited a new name, and I’ve already been recording some noise albums with a friend under that moniker, so Holistic Wellness it is, forever trapped in the garbage crevices of bad SEO. There will be many more where this came from, hopefully at the rate of a new EP or so every month. I’m feeling a big creative upswing, and it’s dope. Listen/buy/ignore/rejoice/disdain.
