I wrote my EP with no knowledge of the Self Defense songs. The lyrical and thematic content of “Alan” is eerily similar to the track titles on my EP and the general feeling of the third song. The cover art of the Holistic Wellness EP is a goddamn barn that caved in between Pullman and Moscow that I used to see on my commute to work every day. What the hell.
